We are currently hiring for the following open positions:
Researcher
Full-time | Berkeley, CA, or remote
Responsibilities
- Conduct and publish research in our focus areas (i.e., artificial intelligence or societal long-term risks)
- Collaborate with other researchers and external stakeholders (e.g., leading AI companies or institutes, or organizations working on voting reform) to conduct research and implement our research findings
- Present and communicate our research findings to external stakeholders
- Help train and mentor junior researchers in the broader community
Requirements
- Relevant academic or other experience in one of our research areas, or in AI safety more broadly
- PhD or other research background in computer science, economics, or another relevant field
- Ability to effectively communicate research findings to a broad audience
